- Created interface to allow for real-time updating of tracking information between Clippership and SAP – enabled real-time transmission of information to customers that required it such as Amazon.com and eliminated dropped shipping charges – dropped shipping charges were accountable for $200 a day that were being lost.
- Created connection between the remote locations for personnel to access the main site while at the showrooms or in hotels allowing the low cost solution of VPN instead of dialing from hotels
- Began donation program to remove older equipment – donated older systems to local schools and organizations in need – eliminated need for costly disposal.
- Document Disaster recovery specifications – implement backup procedures, system redundancy and power infrastructure.
- Create schedule for Data archival from SAP – policy to remove data each year leaving the required data as needed for financial purposes. Removal of data lowered DB size, lowering need for additional disk drives. Disk drives could cost as much as $6000 per year to maintain data growth.
- Enhanced Informix database copies performance by correcting bottlenecks in process and starting multiple processes – reduced downtime of SAP.
